Farm Wineries Council, Inc. is a federally recognized non-profit association of farm wineries dedicated to responsible growth, environmental conservation, public viticultural education and sustainable protection of farmland.

Our mission is two-fold - we promote conservation and environmental protection by providing best practice information to  farm wineries; and we educate  consumers about the quality of and global importance of choosing locally-grown agricultural products. In essence, we're protecting farmland with locally grown world class wine!

FWC works to build awareness of America's small farm artisan wineries as a specialty niche in the world wine market.

The three high-end wine events in the state of Virginia are hosted by the Farm Wineries Council. These shows,

are mainstreaming small-batch wines in the world wine market. Small farm artisan wines are handcrafted from bud break through fermentation in a way that's just not possible in the big industrial operations. It's better for the environment and we think it's a difference you can actually taste. FWC events introduce these hard-to-find artisan wines to the public. Our events are direct sales opportunities for wineries and fundraisers for FWC projects.

FWC also consolidates best practices information for farm wineries. All wineries are welcome to paruse, use and contribute to information included in our navigation menu. By combining experience, knowledge, best business practices and resources, the Council endeavors to create a network of information for the farm wine industry.
