The Farm Wineries Council works to stretch marketing dollars for farm wineries. Wine events are so popular they have sprung up everywhere hosted by clubs, tourism bureaus, distributors, shopping centers, chambers of commerce and various wine associations that use the proceeds for their own mission instead of yours. Whatever event you participate in, ASK what, specifically, the event proceeds will be funding for the Virginia wine industry. Stretch your marketing dollars by supporting events that fund projects for your winery.

The Virginia Winery-Hopping Guide - this popular publication is produced and paid for solely by FWC event proceeds and commercial advertising. The guide promotes all of Virginia’s wineries and produces funding for FWC programs. Submit your listing and learn about the Guide under the Guide navigation link on the left.

Event Production - Three signature events are produced by the Farm Wineries Council of Virginia. These shows, The Virginia Wine Showcase, The Virginia Wine & Polo Festival at The Plains,  &  The Old Town Alexandria Food & Wine Festival, promote the Virginia wine industry and serve as fundraisers for FWC projects such as the VA Winery-Hopping Guide and VisaVA , as well as providing an effective sales venue for exhibiting wineries.

The Virginia Wine Country VisaVA - Virginia's passport program that gets people out visiting wineries

Awards - 30 wines and 3 wineries receive the popular “Virginia Wine People’s Choice Awards” "Virginia's Favorite Winery Award" and "Old Town Alexandria Sommelier Award" each year from FWC's wine judging programs.
